Vanuatu, which is located on an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean, officially offers to become its citizenship for less than 44 bitcoins (~$200,000).
Vanuatu is the part of the Commonwealth of Nations. Being the citizen of this country you get permission to enter 113 countries without a visa, including the UK and other countries of the European Union. Moreover, you don’t even have to live on the island or visit it from time to time to become its citizen.
James Harris, Managing Director of the Vanuatu Information Centre Network, admits that there is some suspicion to the use of crypto-currency in financial transactions, but he also says current technologies allow to continuously keep an eye on the money supply turnover.
