Baidu, the Chinese search engine, launched a platform to offer blockchain-as-a-service.
The platform will provide user-friendly blockchain services such as tracing transactions. Based on Baidu technology, the platform will be available for use in financial auditing, digital billing, and credit management and so forth.
The company says that they have already applied the tech to asset exchange. “The technology has also formed a part of exchanging asset-backed securities in China.”
The move proceeds Tencent’s decision to launch a blockchain service suite. Announcing in 2017 April, the company pledged to use the technology to help authenticate and manage digital assets.
Baidu may be behind on the launching BaaS especially against how early they adopted blockchain – 2013 October.
